About Us....

In the world of fashion and beauty, we search for those who celebrate contemporary style with flair and beauty. Those who offer inspiration and a record of proven experience are crowned with success.
The singular success of Red Hots Sun Lounge and Spa has all these elements. They revolve around its founders and creative directors, Elaine Bezold and Josephine Noto. These two fashion-forward young women bring to clients of this unique spa, the personal style and beauty awareness they developed in their careers as managers and implementers for fashion icons.

Both Josephine and Elaine have degrees in Cosmetic Marketing, Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. Elaine’s skin-deep interest in beauty led her to a position as a cosmetic make-up artist at the salon in Bloomingdale’s 59th st. flagship store in New York City. Her special sense of beauty fashion was quickly recognized and she was brought aboard the store’s exclusive l'atelier salon for VIP and celebrity clientele. From hands-on cosmetics she progressed to a position as a research assistant for Clairol-Bristol/Myers Squibb pharmaceuticals. Her creative advancement moved steadily ahead as she launched a skin care line for Donna Karan, and then became Manager of Product Development for Del Labs. Elaine’s entrepreneurial drive then took over and she founded Coordinate-It, Inc., a multi-faceted event planning firm.

Josephine placed her focus on management after receiving her degrees. She moved up the success ladder rapidly and soon made her mark, managing departments at multimillion dollar fashion retail shops including Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Structure, Nine West, and The Warner Brothers Studio Store. Seven years later, she expanded the scope of her management skills and launched her own tanning salon. The venture proved so successful, she opened three additional salons in the next four years. While both their careers flourished, Josephine and Elaine, who met during their freshman year of college, formed a lifelong friendship. The two began to conceptualize an upscale boutique-like spa, like no other…featuring the amazing services paired with the finest fragrances, toiletries, accessories, underpinnings and much, much, more. This spa would enable the two beauty experts to combine their beauty expertise and provide personalized service in a chic environment.

The spa came to fruition in the fall of 2003, when they opened the doors at Red Hots Sun Lounge and Spa.
